About CII Centre...

The CIL Innovation & Incubation Centre (CII Centre) was established through an MoA between IIT (ISM) and Coal India Limited (CIL). Its primary goal is to promote innovative, technology-driven solutions that have a meaningful impact both technically and socially, particularly in technology, innovation, and community skill development.

The Centre supports early-stage innovative and creative ideas in various areas, including sensors and electronics, mine automation and process control, mobile and information technologies, mining process innovations, mine machinery development, simulation and optimization, CAD/CAM, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, energy audits, and clean energy initiatives aimed at achieving carbon neutrality.

By offering technical support, mentorship, and development opportunities, the Centre empowers innovators to create solutions that benefit the mining sector, local communities, students, and society as a whole.

Our AIM

To provide a platform for promoting experimentation, innovation, and creative output of the budding innovators.

To set up a structured process to identify, facilitate and develop innovation with the involvement of all stakeholders.

To foster a robust ecosystem that supports innovators and entrepreneurs in exploring and contributing to the world of cutting-edge technologies and successful ventures.
